Recruitment Services

  • Provides an orientation to CRN services for shortlisted candidates or the main candidate in anticipation of a Continuing Referral after the acceptance of an offer.
  • Recruitment services are especially helpful when recruitment is wavering, in order to tip the balance in favor of UC Davis, especially in competitive interview situations when a candidate might be entertaining multiple offers.

Pre-hire Consult Tier 1 – Initial Client Consultation           $200

  • Provides a standard introduction to the Capital Region and orientation to the CRN services.
  • Held with the CRN team via Skype, Zoom or by conference call. In person consultations with a member of the CRN staff are available on an exception bases.
  • Generally a 30 minute to 1 hour time commitment.    

Pre-hire Consult Tier 2 – In-Depth Client Consultation      $400

  • A non-standard option providing a more personalized introduction about the Capital Region and the CRN.
  • This service works very well in situations where the main hire is engaged in a full-day interview process and the spouse/partner receives the Pre-hire Consult Tier 2.
  • Provides that extra touch to the standard service and recognizes that the spouse/partner is also an important part of the recruitment process. 
  • Generally a two-hour conversation over a meal (included) at a local restaurant or if preferred a recruitment basket left in hotel room on arrival filled with gourmet nuts, dried fruit, biscuits and bottled water, in place of meal at a local restaurant.

Pre-hire Consult Tier 3 – Full Tour and Consultation          $1,500

A non-standard option providing the candidate with an in-depth, personalized introduction to the Capital Region.

  • Generally a conversation over a breakfast (included) with the CRN team to answer critical questions based on the client's needs and interests or if preferred a 1 hour Zoom, Skype or phone consult and complementary recruitment basket left in hotel room on arrival filled with gourmet nuts, dried fruit, biscuits and bottled water, in place of meal at a local restaurant.
  • Follow-up research and information if specific resources are required.
  • Tour neighborhoods of interest with a vetted real estate agent.
  • Generally a half-day commitment.    
  • Urgent ¹, after-hours ² or administrative holiday ³ requests will incur an additional 25% surcharge for each. Recruitment VIP    $3,250

  • Customized service time in the form of a neighborhood tour including researching specific questions and needs, tours of possible rental apartments or properties based on priorities, elementary school tours, professional introductions, etc.
  • Generally includes a breakfast at a local restaurant or if preferred a recruitment basket left in hotel room on arrival filled with gourmet nuts, dried fruit, biscuits and bottled water.
  • 20 hours of service of support during the recruitment phase. Separate from the Full Referral, this is best used to assist the top candidate(s) and family during their campus/area visit prior to accepting an offer.
  • Urgent ¹, after-hours ² and/or administrative holiday ³ requests will incur an additional 25% surcharge for each. Recruitment Products

Recruitment Basket    $200 

  • Locally sourced food products to be enjoyed during the candidate's campus visit including bottled water, local nuts, dried fruit, veggie chips, gourmet chocolates, mints and other goodies.
  • Baskets are left in the candidate's hotel room upon arrival.

Executive Recruitment Basket    $295 

  • Locally sourced food products to be enjoyed during the candidate's campus visit including bottled water, local nuts, dried fruit, veggie chips, gourmet chocolates, mints and other goodies.
  • Includes UC Davis gold embossed folder filled with candidate's itinerary, attendee list and campus as well as City of Davis brochures.
  • Handwritten note of welcome from the hiring manager on UC Davis gold embossed stationary.
  • UC Davis themed balloons.
  • Baskets are left in the candidate's hotel room upon arrival.

Aggie Swag Bag for Kids    $150

  • Playful Aggie gear ideal for children ten and under including a t-shirt, toy animals, pom-poms, drink tumbler, pens, bracelets, stickers, and more.    

New Employee Services

Full Referral   $3,000

20 hours of service over the course of 6 months. The hours are shared between integration and dual career support, based on client's need. Services are more in-depth and highly customized to identify and address all possible relocation matters including more personal issues such as family concerns.

Generally includes a welcome breakfast on arrival, for the main hire and their family, at a local restaurant of choice, with CRN team members, or if preferred a welcome gift delivered to work or home address after they arrive (30 mile max from UC Davis Campus).

Services include:

  • Initial Consult: a detailed conversation with the CRN team to identify transition concerns, priorities and interests in advance of the new hire’s move.
  • New Arrival Integration: a customized portfolio of services including:
    • Personalized research and information to assist decision-making regarding the benefits of living in various cities and communities, housing (relators, apartment/home rentals, furnished temporary accommodation, extended stay), utilities, mortgage lenders, vehicle registration, California driver’s license, REAL ID, schooling options and registration, daycare, children’s activities, adult language learner courses and tutors, day trips, volunteering, community service organizations and international affinity groups.     
    • Ongoing transition support for up to six months
    • Personal strategic introductions to resources the new hire and their family might need to assist with every aspect of their move
  • Dual Career Support: In our proactive, strategic, network-building process, the CRN works directly with the spouse/partner of the new employee to develop a tailored professional development plan including:
    • One-on-one career coaching, strategy support and employment plan
    • Feedback on resume and other written materials
    • Access to professional development courses
    • Selective strategic informational meetings (up to 3)
    • Professional networking opportunities
    • Interview preparation
  • Urgent ¹, after-hours ² and/or administrative holiday ³ requests will incur an additional 25% surcharge for each. Full Referral Premium    $3,395

  • In addition to the Full Referral, it includes a welcome basket delivered to work or home address after they arrive (30 mile max from UC Davis Campus).
  • Urgent¹, after-hours ² and/or administrative holiday ³ requests will incur an additional 25% surcharge for each. Continuing Referral    $3,000

  • Client received a pre-hire consult and is now receiving a Full Referral.

New Employee Welcome Products

Welcome Basket    $395

  • Farmer’s Market Fair Trade CRN assembled baskets filled to the brim with local, high-end specialty products such as coffee, tea or wine, dried fruit, premium UC Davis swag items and school pride kits with branded facemasks and hand sanitizer. Baskets are delivered directly to the home or work location of the new employee (30 mile max from UC Davis Campus). The CRN received an exception to the gift policy in order to offer an employee welcome gift of this kind and is valued under the $75 employee gift limit.
  • Gift certificates tailored to the client's community and lifestyle may include but are not limited to: Bikram Yoga Davis, Berryessa Gap and Turkovich Winery, Fleet Feet, Temple Coffee Roasters and Journey Coffee. 

Retention Services

Retention    $3,250

Services over 6 months or 20 hours for dual career support.

  • Dual Career Support only - In our proactive, strategic, network-building process, the CRN works directly with the spouse/partner of the new employee to develop a customized professional development plan including:
    • One-on-one career coaching, strategy support and employment plan
    • Feedback on resume and other written materials
    • Access to professional development courses
    • Selective strategic informational meetings (up to 3)
    • Professional networking opportunities
    • Interview preparation
